OCTOBER 16, 2013

Starting October 16th at 6:30 pm, Aaron and I are offering an instrument class for those of you seeking an instrument rating.  The first class will be on the basics of the 430 and iPad.  We will also discuss the pace you want the class to take.  The cost of the class is free for club members and $200 for non members.  We hope to see you at the class.  By the way, for those of you who already have an instrument rating, this will be a good way to refresh your memory.

OCTOBER 15, 2013 - From Garry Pillers

Today I took a trip to Texas Gulf Coast Regional AP (LBX) to check out the Crosswind Cafe.  I was curious in finding a worthy alternative to the Southern Flyer in Brenham.  A short 50 nm to the SE, 7000 foot long runway, little air traffic, at least on the this trip.  At this Crosswind Cafe I had a simple Greek Salad but it was plentiful and appetizing.  The menu offered choices most certain to please demanding tastes.  Next trip I'll take a greater appetite with me so I can try the fresh seafood.  It might be wise to call the Cafe at 979-849-5995 to verify the hours as they have recently changed.  I found out that you should park south of the Cafe and and admin building.

SUMMER 2014 - From Harry Johnson  - Now set for July 14th.

A couple members have expressed an interest in a class on the basics of Foreflight.  I would be more than happy to teach a class for the members.  Please let me know if you are interested and I will put together a class.

HAMBURGERS - From Harry Johnson - quarterly

We are having hamburgers and hot dogs at least once a quarter now.  The last one was on Sept. 19, 2015.  We will probably have one around the end of November or the first part of December.  We don't want to disrupt the Christmas season.  We will let you know.
